You may wonder what someone could possibly learn from a site dealing with farming and agriculture that would be applicable to shidduchim. (And please, no questions as to why I was on the site to begin with.)
In a section on the dairy industry there was the following for novice cow milkers. "It is not evident from first glance that milk also contains cream, although there may be a speck or two in evidence...After milking it takes time for cream to come to the top...The process may be speeded up by agitating the milk so that the cream rises faster. It is only after all the milk has been skimmed off that the full measure of cream can be seen...The process should not be hurried. Agitating the milk too quickly can result in too much air being incorporated into the mixture. The result is what is commonly called whipped cream. This cream is far lighter and with less substance then cream that has been allowed to slowly rise...If you want rich cream you need to be prepared to wait for it."
For those of you who may be tired of being called "older" singles or of being asked "Nu, when?" you might just want to smile and say "I'm cream. We rise slower."

Cream? In the age of the anti-cholesterol fascists? Surely you jest. And yet the taste of that cream is what everyone who has ever tasted it yearns for. Does anyone really dream of skim milk? Doctors warn you that any child under two should not be given skim milk, just good old fashioned whole milk with the cream present. Lucky kids! Yes, I'm cream. And no I am not for everyone, just for those who recognize that cream is a taste gift from God. No skim milk fetishists need apply.
yeah but what if all I are finding when I go for the cream is sourcream? I'm I still supposed to feel lucky?
Love this post! :-)
Someone is complaining about sourcream? Where would half the french dishes be without it? Or the Hungarian ones? Blintzes without sour cream? Are you kidding? Sour cream as the basis for those yummy cream soups and for every dip imaginable? Sourcream is rich, flavorful, has just that bit of tartness necessary and combines beautifully with just about every food. And you're complaining about sourcream Anonymous? Count your blessings.
