Let It Snow, Let It Snow...

In case anyone has missed the news, the Eastern corridor, from DC to Boston, is finally due for a "biggy" snowstorm, beginning early this evening and continuing through tomorrow. Every weather forecasting bureau seems to agree that this storm is really coming. Estimates of snow accumulation, depending on where you are in the corridor--and where you are in the NYC area--range from 9.5 to 16 inches. Temperatures will be well below freezing for the next few days and wind gusts in the 24mph to 48mph range are expected. In short, welcome to March. Someone must have told it to come in like a lion. Let's hope it also remembers to go out like a lamb.

Just a little note. If you have neighbors who are elderly or with any type of physical problems that are going to make getting out and about for supplies difficult pre-storm or right post-storm, now would be a really good time to phone or visit them to make sure that they have all that they need to weather the storm.

You are so right about the neighbors. (Bring them a purim goodie or two as well... if they are that alone, chances are they haven't had a home-baked hamantasch in quite some time).
Now in the "some people have all the luck" category - my son was supposed to be flying home tonight and is held over for 24 hours... GUESS WHERE?!??! San Diego! Where the weather is sunny and 85 degrees ....

I can fully sympathize with the San Diego part. I have a brother in San Diego who has been known to announce the temperature when we speak in the winter instead of saying hello.
