Taking a Poll
Occasionally there is going to be a poll on certain questions. On a different blog there was a rather lengthy discussion on what the phrase "mazel tov" means. Our chachamim tell us "Ain mazel b'Yisroel." We are told that Jews should not depend on luck or on the "stars." Yet, we all use the phrase "mazel tov," from the most learned to the least learned among us. What do we actually mean when we use this phrase?
